Everyone who has ever heard about this incomparable place dreams of visiting Mallorca. For some, the island remains a dream, while others have made a trip to the golden beaches of Mallorca their hobby. One way or another, the name of the largest island in the Balearic archipelago is known throughout the world and is synonymous with luxury and prestige.

On this piece of mountainous land you can easily meet representatives of world show business and even famous people in the political sphere. This has already become so common that the locals have stopped paying attention to it altogether. In addition to the city of Palma de Mallorca, the island is home to more than a dozen unique resorts, which are also very popular. This resort diversity welcomes tens of thousands of visitors every year. We will only talk about the most popular holiday destinations, but the whole island is so large that everyone can find their own piece of bliss - be it the capital or a quiet village near the coast.

Mallorca Climate

The geographical location of the island has allowed it to become a unique region where it is almost always hot. The exception is the coolest months of winter - December and January. During this period, the temperature drops to 15 degrees above zero. You can swim as early as the beginning of May, and the season officially begins in early June, when the temperature rises to the usual twenty-eight degrees. In summer there is practically no precipitation on the island. You have to be very “lucky” to get caught in a thunderstorm in Mallorca.

In hot July and August, the temperature rises to thirty degrees, and the water warms up a little less. At this time, the main flow of tourists comes to Mallorca, and it is very difficult to find free hotel rooms. To prevent this from happening, book them in advance, this will help avoid difficulties in the future. You can also go to Mallorca in June - the air has already warmed up enough, but after drinking some water you will want to wrap yourself in a towel.

How to get to Mallorca

Regular flights from Moscow to Mallorca operate during the holiday season. If there is no vacation planned for this time or there are no tickets left, you can use one of the charter flights. You can also purchase a charter ticket at a travel agency - it is very convenient, especially if you purchase it immediately with a last-minute ticket.

On the island, the airport called Son Sao Joao is located 8 kilometers from the capital Palma. Buses route No. 17 constantly run from the airport to the city. You can check the ticket price with the driver or purchase a ticket directly at the airport. The ubiquitous taxi drivers also guard their potential clients here. For 20 euros they can fly to any point in the capital.

Resorts of Mallorca

Although the island itself is already considered a resort area, its territory is administratively divided into several small settlements and resort towns. Each of them provides first-class service, clean beaches and a wide variety of entertainment, both on the water and in the urban wilds - traveling around the island is extremely exciting.

  • Palma de Mallorca – a large, modern city, named after the skeleton. It is not surprising that it is he who plays the role of the capital of Mallorca. This city is very ancient. Its founding is attributed to the Roman consul Caecilius Metellus, who found the island itself. He decided to found a city here after seeing the incredible beauty of the bay, which to this day is considered one of the most beautiful and wonderful on our planet.

A resort area was organized along the entire coast of this bay - here is the longest built-up beach on the island. Along its entire length there is an embankment, along which there are the best hotels on the island, rich restaurants, as well as villas of many celebrities, including Michael Schumacher, Michael Douglas and even Claudia Schiffer. Members of the royal family vacation at the city's Marivent estate every year. They usually come in August to the opening of the sailing regatta to present the cup to the winner.

Sea vessels and cruise ships are received by the port of Palma, the largest in the Mediterranean Sea. You can also take a ferry from here to other islands of the archipelago, which makes regular trips. Interestingly, Palma de Mallorca is probably the only European island city with a metro. There are only 9 stations scattered throughout the city in the main areas, but this is quite enough. Getting around by metro here is very convenient and economical.

The city's hotels, which are more popular, are located on the hills and among the rocks. These buildings offer stunning views of the city and the sea. Some of them include spas and fitness rooms.

Palma de Mallorca is a city with a unique past and a rich future. Its cultural heritage pleases the eyes of everyone who has ever visited this city. Narrow streets, ancient buildings and much more. The royal castle is worth noting Bellver and excellent Cathedral, the lighting system of which was invented by Gaudi himself. And you can admire ancient Moorish art in the palace Palau de L'Almudaina, which now serves as a royal residence.

· Cala d'Or excellent resort on the east coast of Mallorca. Once it was a simple village, now they have tried to develop a large tourism infrastructure here. This place is perfect for a relaxing holiday alone, as well as spending time on sandy beaches under the soothing sounds of sea waves. Beach Cala Gran in the bay of Cala d’Or, according to local residents and many tourists, the most beautiful in this region. Kalad'Or is surrounded by pine forest, so the scent of pine and sea breeze are soft in the air.

The center of the resort is a long shopping street. Everything here is built up with shops, boutiques and grocery stores. In the neighborhood there are many different restaurants, several first-class bars and nightclubs, although not as vibrant as in Ibiza, but you won’t be bored.

Getting to the resort will not be a problem. You can take bus routes from the island's capital, Palma, or call a taxi at Son Sao Joao airport.

The climate of the resort is quite mild. At least there is always somewhere to hide in the shade from the heat. Pine plantings soften the midday heat. But on the beach, for a comfortable tan, you should still take an umbrella or at least sunscreen and sunglasses.

You can choose a hotel to suit every taste. There are several dozen of them here. The best of them are located in a forest area or near a resort town. Typically, 4-star hotels are considered the highest class here. There are apartments and not so luxurious ones, even guest houses.

The resort's white sand beaches will please you at first sight. You can, of course, just fall and enjoy the fact that you arrived on the island. But many people prefer not only this - diving, surfing and yachting are on the list of the best entertainment in Calad'Or.

· Arenal – a resort that has long been chosen by European youth. All thanks to the developed infrastructure and entertainment, as well as affordable prices for accommodation and other services. Arenal is an extension of Playa de Palma beach on its eastern side. The Arenal promenade is decorated with tall palm trees on both sides of the road, and all the greenery in the resort town consists of a variety of tropical plants, which creates a real African atmosphere.

Arenal is fifteen kilometers from Mallorca airport. From there you can take a 20-minute bus ride or take a taxi. If you travel from the capital Palma, then regular bus number 23 goes to Arenal, which passes here on the way to the water park Aqualand, where you need to go for a dose of fun from diving from springboards and slides.

The Arenal coast is just over two hundred meters of wide sandy beach called Playa s'Arenal. There are a lot of vacationers here, so you need to take the best places in the morning. The embankment is lined with bars and restaurants, and there are also several excellent discos. Interestingly, you can travel around the entire resort town on a small tourist train with a guide who will tell you about the most interesting places in Arenal.

The advantage of Arenal is the affordable prices for accommodation in local hotels. The price of the apartment depends on the location of the hotel. Those closer to the sea have three stars and above. And comfortable two-star hotels or hostels can be found further from the coast.

· Illetas – If you want to truly relax, and only the singing of birds and the soft rustling of sea waves can be heard around you, then definitely come here. The small resort town of Illetas is suitable for just such a holiday. The name of the resort literally translates as “small islands”. The fact is that near the city, 3 small rocky islands protrude from the sea, which are nesting sites for many birds; the name of the resort comes from these rocks.

Illetas is located nine kilometers from Palma de Mallorca and can be reached by bus or taxi. The resort is designed for young couples or families with children. Holidays here are expensive and luxurious. Hotels are entire complexes with all types of services and health spas. Below than four-star hotels, there is nothing to look for here.

For a comfortable beach holiday, three beaches are always available here. The longest of them, Playa Es Forte, stretches for almost 200 meters. Several of the most popular hotels, which have their own access to the beach, are located nearby. The other two - Playa de Illetas and Playa Cala Comtessa - are much smaller, but their highlights are rocky ledges at some height, which offer views of the coast and pine trees that overlook the beach and add a wonderful pine smell.

Among the interesting places of Illetas is the nineteenth-century defensive tower that overlooks the bay. You can also walk through the pine forest, which is almost everywhere here, or rent diving equipment and explore the beautiful seabed off the coast. Well, if you are already tired of swimming, you can play a round of golf at the local course.

· Magaluf and Palma Nova – these are real resort neighbors. Where Magaluf ends, Palma Nova begins. Although they are located side by side, there are fundamental differences. Both resorts are located twelve kilometers from the capital. You can get to Magaluf by buses no. 104, 106 and 107. The trip will cost about five euros.

Magaluf is suitable for noisy celebrations in beer bars and nightclubs. The restaurants here cater to any sophisticated consumer - they usually serve Spanish and British cuisine. The best night spot is the club BCM, which occupies three whole floors. Tourists love foam parties at this club; in addition, various groups often perform live here. On such days, up to four thousand people can gather in the club.

Other entertainment options in Magaluf include karting. The track is open next to the resort from ten in the morning until late at night. It is well lit, so racing continues until midnight. Or head to Black Lizard Island, off the coast of Magaluf. There you can easily look at these amphibians or even try to catch them.

In turn, Palma Nova is distinguished by a quiet and measured holiday for newlyweds and families with children. This is one of the oldest resorts on the island. The easiest way to get here is from the capital of the island by bus. The trip here takes about twenty minutes.

The beaches of the resort are very clean and have the European quality mark. Beach Platja de Carregador stretched out near the yacht marina, where yachting enthusiasts moor. Here you can rent a yacht yourself, at least for cool photos as a souvenir. And on the embankment near the pier you can buy souvenirs and gifts in local shops. The beaches of the resort are connected by one long embankment, which is so pleasant to walk along in the evening, watching the sun set. Don't forget to take your camera!

· Alcudia – a whole resort city with its ancient port (built during the Roman Empire, now completely rebuilt), where cruise ships, yachts and private ships often sail. From the capital to Alcudia it is approximately 60 kilometers. The cheapest way to travel is by bus, about 10 euros. By taxi, such a distance will cost about eighty euros, and then at the best prices.

The swimming season here begins in April and lasts until October, so the city does not suffer from a lack of tourists. The coastline is eight kilometers long, and the clean, shallow beaches are considered the best on the island. The entire “life” of the city is concentrated near the port - here are the best restaurants and pubs, clothing and souvenir shops, nightclubs and even a water park. There are also plenty of fast food establishments for a light snack.

The coastline is divided into several beaches, some of them wild, but clean and beautiful - in cozy coves with completely shallow water. For those who like to sunbathe naked, the nudist beach of Cala Mesquida, naturally fenced off by sand dunes, is open. Richer hotels are located right on the embankment, while guest houses and two-room apartments are located closer to the city center.

You can feel like Indiana Jones by going to the ruins of the ancient city of Alcudia, where the remains of the fortress that once surrounded the city are preserved. You can escape the bustle of the city in the Albufera Natural Park, where birds nest and you can enjoy their sonorous singing. Well, there is always the opportunity to do all the usual diving and surfing.

· Paguera – another Spanish city on the island of Mallorca, located on its southwestern side twenty-five kilometers from the capital, from where buses go regularly. Travel time is about an hour. The city is surrounded by pine forest and hills. This cozy region began to develop infrastructure only at the beginning of the twentieth century, so most of all buildings are modern.

Previously, this city did not exist, but in its place there were enterprises for the extraction of resin from pine trees. But later they saw other potential in this place and now it is a favorite vacation spot for tourists from European countries, especially Germans. In summer it is especially hot here, only pine trees provide a slight coolness, and the eleven-hour day allows you to have fun in nature for a long time.

The resort's beaches (there are only three) deserve the highest rating. They are deep enough for free swimming, but there is also shallow water for kids. All of them are connected by an ordinary trodden path. At the height of the season there are very few places, so the earlier you go to the beach, the better places you can get.

The center of the resort is the usual bustle of the city. Narrow streets intertwine in a variety of directions. Among residential buildings, restaurants and boutiques there are many parks with fountains, comfortable benches and flower beds. Even an ordinary walk around the city is delightful. In the evening there are open dance floors, and there are several good nightclubs. There are also plenty of hotels in the city. Luxury luxury hotels are located closest to the sea, and good 3 and 4 star hotels can also be found on the coast. Budget hostels and middle-class hotels are located closer to the city center or on its outskirts.

Among the magnificent architectural buildings, it is worth noting the Paguera Cathedral. It was built in our time, but it still amazes with the skill of the work carried out. During the daytime it functions as a museum, and in the evening services are held. In the suburbs of Paguera there is a real museum city Pueblo Español, where every building is a historical value, and the real creation is the castle Bellver, built back in the 14th century and having a round shape unique to Spain.

· Camp de Mar – in the same direction as Paguera is this picturesque resort town. Tourists fell in love with it for its quiet regularity and exclusivity. The elite of European society - writers, actors and pop stars - are used to relaxing here.

The resort is located 35 kilometers from the bustling and noisy Palma, and you can get here by bus or taxi directly from the international airport near the capital. Most people come here on their own initiative; travel agencies rarely offer trips to this region of Mallorca.

There are several hotels in Camp de Mar and all of them are at least four stars. These are even entire health complexes, where there are spas, swimming pools and all kinds of additional cosmetic procedures for rejuvenation and relaxation. The remaining buildings of the resort combine administrative buildings, private villas and cottages. There are also several fine restaurants and boutiques.

The beaches in Camp de Mar are top notch. Here you can just lie around and sunbathe, try yourself on a water scooter, or spend a few hours on a snow-white yacht. For the safety of vacationers, lifeguards are on duty here every day.

Among other attractions at the resort, you can choose to walk through a pine forest or walk along mountain paths to wild, secluded bays. There are very few people here, so this place is perfect for a romantic evening. This resort also has several excellent golf courses, which will bring a lot of pleasure.

There are a couple of high-level hotels in the city, offering not only accommodation, but also health and beauty services. In the coastal area there are villas in the shade of trees, numerous shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The beaches are equipped with all the necessary services, and there are water activities.

Camp de Mar

Cala Mandia Mallorca is a resort in the east of the island. There is a wonderful holiday on the beach, interesting excursions, fun evenings. The beach has umbrellas, sun loungers, pubs, restaurants, and water activities.

Sillot Mallorca is a resort of two cities: Sillot and Sa Coma. The coastal zone extends for two kilometers; the beaches have all the necessary services and entertainment facilities.

Cala Ratjada Mallorca is a resort in the east of the island with a white sandy beach. Beautiful nature, clean water, convenient parking spaces, variety of services.

How to get to Mallorca

There are two ways to get to the island of Mallorca: by ferry and by plane. The flight departs from Barcelona Airport and travel time ranges from 50 minutes to 1 hour. How much does a plane ticket cost? The cost of a one-way ticket is 30 euros.

Flights operate every day from 7 am to 10 pm, it is recommended to fly on Iberia and Vueling aircraft. The ferry trip costs more than the flight and lasts on average 7 hours. The cost of tours for Russian tourists from Moscow to Mallorca can be found at the link.

Mallorca is a great holiday destination, but since different areas of Mallorca have different character, many tourists have the question of which area to choose for their holiday. If you have little idea about the character of the areas of Mallorca, then you should know a little about each of these areas. This will help you choose the right area in Mallorca.

Eastern Mallorca: excellent beaches and a large selection of hotels.
Cala Millor marks the beginning of a number of purpose-built resorts that are filling the east coast of Mallorca. The beaches here are magnificent, especially on the northern part of the east coast, where long stretches of golden beaches meet crystal clear seas. The resorts of Eastern Mallorca are very popular among families. There are many hotels and self catering apartments here.

North-East Mallorca: tranquility and natural beauty.
North-East Mallorca is often overlooked as it is the area furthest from the airport. But still, this part of the island can offer vacationers a lot of interesting things. Here you will find the Llevant Nature Park with its hills and abundance of birds. Also in the northeast you will find beautiful countryside and, unlike the west coast, you will find a large number of beautiful beaches and coves.

North West Mallorca: Great beaches and attractions.
In North West Mallorca you will find the popular resorts of Pollensa, Formentor and Alcudia. These resorts are surrounded by stunning scenery. A particular highlight here is Cape Formentor, which is considered one of the most beautiful places in Mallorca, as evidenced by the constant influx of tour buses during the peak summer months.
North-West Mallorca is a good place for nightlife lovers and windsurfers.

Southern Mallorca: agricultural land and pristine beaches.
In the south-eastern corner of Mallorca the ground levels out and windmills begin to appear on the landscape. Southern Mallorca is where you will find salt marshes and many beautiful beaches. The most beautiful place here, in our opinion, is the Mondrago Natural Park with its water area and white sand beaches.
South Mallorca is home to the island's capital and the fantastic beach of Playa de Palma. It is also home to the popular resort of El Arenal.

South West Mallorca: the most popular area of Mallorca.
The area southwest of Palma de Mallorca is a favorite among holidaymakers as it offers some of the most famous resorts with a large number of hotels and tourist facilities. The most important resorts in South West Mallorca are Santa Ponsa, Palma Nova and Magaluf, which are especially popular among the British. Santa Ponsa is the most prestigious of these resorts, Palma Nova is popular with families, and Magaluf is mainly popular with nightlife lovers. But there are also quieter places in South-West Mallorca.

Western Mallorca: ideal countryside.
In Western Mallorca you will find popular mountain towns such as Valldemossa, Deia, and Soller. These towns are surrounded by very attractive countryside, dotted with colorful and fragrant plants. Each village has its own attractions: Valldemossa has its own monastery, Deia has breathtaking sea views and excellent restaurants, and Soller has a wonderful modern art gallery.

Hi all,

I am a very spoiled traveler and have visited many countries. There was a time when I traveled to different parts of the world every month or every other month for work and in most cases there was always the sea (Singapore, States, Dubai, Philippines, Europe).

Despite the stale taste, Mallorca simply amazed me. Impressions WOW.

What did I expect from my vacation? - Bread and circuses, well, that is. beautiful, warm sea and the opportunity to see something. Mallorca satisfied all requests.

We decided to go on our own, because... I don’t trust travel companies; I don’t fly charters on principle.

Flights

A ticket for one from Moscow cost 25 thousand rubles. a/k Lufthansa. We bought it 2 weeks before departure, if much in advance it would be MUCH cheaper. But the Aeroflot cost 40 thousand rubles, so it was canceled right away. I search for and buy tickets on the websites of Aviasales, Expedia, Orbitz or directly on the airline’s website. Payment by card on the website is secure.

Resort

There are a lot of resorts on the island: Magaluf, Palma Nova, Santa Ponsa, Illetas, Cala D'Or, Playa Del Muro, Soller. You can live in the capital Palma, but it is a whole city and is more expensive there, and there are not enough beaches.

My choice fell on the Magaluf resort. Half an hour drive from the airport and the capital.

What is good and bad about Magaluf?

1) Beautiful large beach, azure and warm sea. There are a lot of people, but they are all distributed and do not lie on each other

The sea is very warm! Unlike Costa Del Sol, the water is fresh milk.

2) Variety in prices. Magaluf is a resort for British students, so you can eat and live there very cheaply. Yes, the conditions will also be student conditions. So you can eat a burger with beer for 5 euros. More decent cafes are also forced to lower their prices. In a cafe by the sea you can buy 2 large pieces of salmon with salad for 12 euros and homemade red wine for 1.5.

At the same time, there are also expensive hotels such as Melia, ME and glamorous beach clubs where people come on yachts. For example, the famous Nikki Beach, where wine costs from $12 per glass and others. Beach House or beach club, this means that you can come there, drink, eat and swim in their pool, lie on sun loungers, etc. The price of food there is higher, but the food tastes better.

3) Crowds of young people hanging out. If you are with children, then I do not recommend going to Magaluf during the high season. The music is loud until 12 at night, but even after that it is quite noisy.

The young people hanging out didn’t bother me; it was very funny to watch. There are a lot of clubs, the kids get drunk by 11, but they behave decently. We didn’t go to clubs because... There are kids there who are 18-20 years old. For clubs it is recommended to go to Palma.

4) The general condition of the town is so-so, it is quite simple. Young people behave decently, although sometimes they are rowdy. There is garbage in the evening, but by morning everything is cleaned out. There are no cigarette butts like in Montenegro. If you want a more beautiful embankment and restaurants, then take a walk to the neighboring resort of Palma Nova, it is nicer and more expensive there.

5) There is not much shopping in Magaluf. There are a lot of stalls with Chinese junk, there are shops like Mango, Lacoste and local brands. There is a shopping center in Palma Nova (7 min walk).

6) But there is plenty of entertainment for both children and adults: a theme park, karting, a water park. You can go on a speed boat for an excursion (50 euros for 2 hours) or take a catamaran and sail on the sea (15 euros per hour for a catamaran).

Magaluf is a poor choice for families with small children. It's noisy there. I recommend visiting Palma Nova or Santa Ponsa.

Hotel

I traditionally looked for the hotel on Booking. I chose a simply wonderful 4-star from Melia Calvia Beach, because for me a good hotel is simply the main component of a beach holiday.

The hotel cost 100 thousand for 6 nights for two with breakfast and dinner included (without drinks). It was a promotion, if you make an advance payment, it would be about 130.

It was worth it! First of all, breakfast and dinner were absolutely wonderful. A buffet with incredible variety. Huge selection of fruits. For dinner there were grilled steaks, octopuses, fish, lobsters and a bunch of other food. Insanely delicious.

And the views from the hotel are just wow!

In the mornings, sometimes a violinist played and champagne was always poured:

Night views of Magaluf from the hotel restaurant:

View from a room with side sea view:

This hotel is located 30 meters from the water, i.e. you can lie by the pool and run for a swim. It is also at the very end of the beach, where there are fewer people and it is calmer.

The hotel bar is very expensive, so we ate and drank on the embankment:

There are also much cheaper accommodation options in Magaluf. On the beach I also liked Sol Barbados and Bahia Prinicple (with a gorgeous view too). There are also budget ones 300 - 500 meters away. The main thing is not to choose a party hotel where DJs play all night (for example, BH Apartments or Ibizza).

Excursions

We rented a car at Palma airport from Dollar Car. We booked and searched on the Expedia website. It cost about 200 euros with insurance for a week for a brand new Seat + 50 euros for gasoline. This is not the first time we have rented a car from this company, so there were no problems. Renting a car is cheaper than getting from the airport to the hotel yourself. We were looking for parking on the streets of Magaluf.

Excursion 1 in the Sierra De tramontana mountains

We did this circle in one day with stops in interesting places. Parking is paid everywhere, h Most often they only accept coins, so you need to change cash in advance.

We set out from Magaluf early in the morning. The roads are excellent, the views are wonderful. There are no traffic jams.

We first stopped at the village of Valldemosa

Nice, beautiful place.

It is located high in the mountains, the air is fresh and pleasant

By the way, the town can be reached from the capital Palma on a historical train

Then to the port of Soller, where trams run.

I didn’t like the port itself much: the beaches are a bit dirty, parking is a problem. You can have a snack with a view of the embankment or drink sangria.

But from Soller you can go up to the lighthouse to the observation deck. This is such a difficult road

But the views are like from a postcard

The serpentine itself is a landmark. Driving through it is a challenge for the driver and passenger: the roads are narrow, it’s hard to pass, it’s generally not easy to drive, and you also get motion sickness.

The views are very beautiful

Mountain restaurant with wine and delicious pizza. The sea is visible in the distance:

Prices are as below.

There are beautiful lakes along the way:

There is a monastery on the way Lluc and mountain village Sa Calobra with a lost beach. We no longer had time to stop there, because... our path lay to the northernmost point of the island. But, if you have time, I would divide this excursion into 2 days. 1 day in the mountains to Lluc, then descend from the mountains onto the highway and home. Day 2 - separate trip to Cape Formentor along the highway.

Cape and Lighthouse:

By that time I was already very seasick and had no time for beauty, although it was impressive and breathtaking.

And I was very glad to go down to Formentor beach and feel the solid ground under my feet:

I liked the beach itself less than in Magaluf. Small, cramped, a lot of people. Although there is a hotel there, Formentor, which is highly recommended. Not to my taste. From the cape I would have gotten to Playa Del Muro, but there was no time.

Excursion 2 Es Trenc beach and caves

Our next excursion was to Dragon Caves, which are located in the east of the island.

The ticket costs 20 Euros, the walk itself takes about an hour. There is an underwater river inside and classical music concerts are held.

Everything is beautifully lit.

From the caves we headed to the beach Es Trenc, it is considered the most beautiful in Spain.

He's really handsome:

I was unpleasantly surprised by the cost of parking - 10 euros, the lack of infrastructure (banal toilets) and the distance from the road. Well, algae. The beach is semi-wild.

Crowds of people. But the sand is white. It's worth stopping by.

Excursion 3 Palma.

Well, how can we ignore the capital? In Palma we just walked along the narrow streets. I looked everywhere for shade.

One of the most hospitable and democratic places on the planet is the island of Mallorca. It is no coincidence that tourists fly here throughout the year. Here you can take a break from the tedious workdays and recharge yourself with positive emotions while viewing popular attractions. Mallorca is perfect for a holiday with small children. Reviews show that children easily adapt to new climatic conditions. And the amount of interesting entertainment will delight any child!

Location and climatic conditions

Mallorca belongs to the Balearic Islands and is one of the most popular Spanish resorts. The influx of tourists increases every year. Every year more than 10 million people from around the world visit the mysterious island. The resort is most popular among the Swiss, Germans and French. Our tourists also go there with great pleasure.

The island of Mallorca has favorable climatic conditions throughout the year. Reviews from tourists show that even in winter you can have a good rest here. Tourists most often visit the island between April and October. The summer months are considered the velvet season. For lovers of a relaxing holiday, the end of August is more suitable. At this time, the beaches are not oversaturated with tourists, and weather conditions are still favorable for a good holiday.

For those who want to explore the underwater world, a holiday in Mallorca in September is best suited. Reviews show that at this time marine life seems to flourish. Diving enthusiasts will be able to discover a lot of new things. On the coast you can rent everything you need to explore the underwater world. For beginners, instructor assistance is offered. The specialist will tell you how to properly dive under water and breathe with scuba gear. But such entertainment, unfortunately, is not available to everyone. There are restrictions due to health reasons. People with cardiovascular problems should avoid traveling underwater.

Classic holiday in Mallorca

Those who prefer to just spend time on the beach should go to Playa de Palma. This is the most popular resort that can reveal all the beauty of the local nature. Snow-white beaches, the sea, a lot of entertainment - this is just a small list of what Mallorca will greet tourists with. Photos, reviews about vacations - all this can be read and seen on numerous forums dedicated to tourism. But it’s better to experience everything yourself. Playa De Palma has everything for a comfortable holiday. These are the best hotels, developed infrastructure, medical facilities and expensive restaurants.

The resort of Magaluf is very popular among Russian tourists. You will definitely be able to meet a fellow countryman here. This is especially true for those who go on vacation alone. You can not only have a great rest, but also make new acquaintances. A holiday in Mallorca is suitable for all age groups. Reviews from tourists show that in Magaluf you can meet both elderly couples and noisy groups of young people. Tourists can enjoy clean beaches, bars with reasonable prices, hotels in various price categories, shops with souvenirs, and beauty salons.

Young couples will love the Can Pastilla resort. Hotels here offer excellent rooms for honeymooners. In the summer, many couples come here for their honeymoon. The romantic atmosphere is conducive to communication between spouses. And tourists who come to relax alone are happy to start holiday romances. In some cases, relationships that begin here last for many years.

Holidays in grand style

Mallorca offers many opportunities for lovers of a luxury holiday. Reviews show that tourists who are not strapped for money prefer the Calap Major resort. This is a place with many luxury hotels, expensive restaurants and jewelry stores. But you definitely shouldn’t plan a holiday to Mallorca with children here. Reviews show that the resort is not at all suitable for staying with a baby. There are no entertainment complexes here. In addition, many expensive hotels prohibit checking into a room with a small child. The rooms use high-quality expensive materials. A child can ruin them. Parents do not always strive to compensate for the damage.

The Calap Major resort is a place for wealthy tourists. The family of the Spanish king Juan Carlos I lives in close proximity. It is in this resort that the Marivent Palace is located. This is the royal summer residence. Often the retinue lives here not only in the warm season, but also in winter.

Another luxury resort is Illetas. This place is more suitable for wealthy tourists who prefer a quiet, measured holiday. The only significant drawback is the coast, which is completely lined with concrete slabs. However, rich people don't always come to the beach to sunbathe. Each hotel has a good seawater swimming pool. And the coast is more used for evening walks. For picky vacationers, the resort offers a fine-sand municipal beach. But here you can most often meet local residents.

The resort of Puerto Polanza is popular among world stars. Here you can meet not only politicians, but also show business luminaries. And bohemians fell in love with this resort thanks to its natural attractions. This is Formentor beach, as well as San Vicens Bay. Holidays in Puerto Polanza are not for everyone. Only expensive hotels and restaurants are located here. Tourists with small financial resources are better off looking for another place.

Mallorca for children

The eastern coast of the island is most suitable for families with children. The city of Cala d'Or is popular. A huge advantage is the presence of bays with fine sandy beaches. There are many playgrounds here, and the coast is quite shallow. The beaches are completely safe for children. But you should never leave children unattended! The coves in Cala d'Or are protected by a skeleton forest. There are almost never winds or scorching sun here. You can relax on the beach with a baby at any time of the day.

There are other places for families with children in Mallorca. Reviews show that you can have a great time with the whole family in Alcudia. This resort is distinguished by shallow beaches and warm sea. The city has many entertainment complexes for young tourists. Hotels are not afraid to accept guests with children. There are also children's rooms. Parents can bring their children here for a few hours and go about their business. Professional educators work with children. The child will not even notice the absence of his mother!

You will definitely remember Mallorca! With children (reviews especially emphasize this), Alcudia offers tourists everything for comfort and convenience. When going on a trip, there is no need to take a stroller with you. It will be available for rent. Alcudia has many interesting attractions. It is better to use the services of a professional guide.

The Sant Ponsa resort is another great place for a family holiday. A huge advantage here is the peace of mind at night. There are practically no nightclubs in the resort. Therefore, young people prefer to relax in other places.

Holidays for extreme sports enthusiasts

Mallorca is popular among water sports enthusiasts. Reviews show that professional surfers prefer to relax here. For real extreme sports enthusiasts, the same Alcudia is suitable. On the coast you can rent scuba gear, surfboards, swimming clothes and much more. Entire diving schools operate. Even a child over 10 years old can dive underwater with an instructor.

The most popular diving club is located in the resort of Santa Ponsa. This establishment in itself is a landmark of Mallorca. Here you can meet many Russian-speaking tourists who come to explore the underwater world. And for those who are afraid to dive under water, special excursions are offered. This is a trip on a boat with a transparent bottom. Once on the open sea, tourists can observe the extraordinary beauty of the Mediterranean inhabitants.

Mallorca is especially interesting in September. Reviews show that this particular month is significant for the indigenous residents of the Santa Ponsa resort. At the beginning of the 13th century, the troops of King Heime arrived on the island and freed the local residents from Muslim rule. On September 9, you can watch a ceremonial procession on the island, as well as many theatrical performances retelling the history of Mallorca. People eat, drink and have fun. Tourists can fully experience the hospitality of the local population.

Youth Mallorca

The most popular among young tourists is the Arenal resort. This is where you can find the most inexpensive hotels in Mallorca. Reviews from tourists show that it is difficult to find a four or five star hotel in the resort. Arenal is most often visited by students from Holland, Germany and France. Russian girls and boys try to relax closer to their homeland.

The Arenal resort is full of bars and small cafes. The staff here is always happy to have noisy companies. We are pleased with the reasonable prices. For a similar holiday in other cities of Mallorca you will have to pay much more. Those who want to save a lot of money should fly on vacation at the end of autumn. Mallorca is less popular among tourists in October. Reviews show that many hotels and public institutions significantly reduce the cost of their services at the end of the holiday season. The cost of living in a double room will vary from 100 euros.

Arenal is also famous for its large number of nightclubs. Here you can have a lot of fun in a big company. Most clubs start working at 22:00 and close only in the morning. You should be prepared for the fact that entry to the club is not free. You will have to pay from 10 to 25 euros. It all depends on the entertainment program that is offered on a particular day. Not only tourists from other countries, but also the young local population happily relax in the clubs. Girls and boys can make interesting acquaintances and have a great evening.

Quiet holiday for elderly tourists

For tourists of retirement age who prefer a quiet holiday on the snow-white coast, Mallorca is also perfect. Reviews show that in this case the Palma Nova resort would be the most optimal. This place is popular due to its three gorgeous beaches with white sand and shallow coastline. Families with small children also visit this resort very often. But it’s almost impossible to meet noisy companies here.

Paguere is another popular resort located in the southern part of Mallorca. The mysterious local nature can charm even the most fastidious tourist. A holiday here does not require large financial expenditures. A five-day stay in a three-star hotel will cost 500 euros.

Excursions in Mallorca

The island of Mallorca has many mysterious and colorful places. Reviews from tourists show that any excursion is a huge influx of positive emotions. Therefore, when going on vacation, you should definitely plan a few days to visit the sights. It is advisable to use the services of professionals. Excursion bureaus can offer a huge range of both walking and bus trips. The entire island of Mallorca cannot be explored in one day. The attractions have a wide variety of reviews. It is better to study the opinions of experienced tourists in advance. This will allow you to decide on the places to visit first.

It is better to start your excursion tour from the capital of Mallorca. The city of Palma de Mallorca was founded during the Roman Empire. Ancient quarters intersect with modern buildings. This is a real city of contrasts, distinguished by its extraordinary beauty. Tourists are interested in the Bellver Fortress, which is located in the very center of the capital. Excursions in Mallorca will definitely be memorable. Reviews show that you cannot ignore the Gothic cathedral, located near the fortress. The building fascinates with its mystery.

The medieval town of Alcudia is also a must-see for those traveling to Mallorca. It is located near the resort of the same name. This is a valuable historical monument that preserves the memory of the events of the 13th century. Not far from the ruins there is another interesting attraction - the Cathedral of San Jaume. Tourists are also interested in the extraordinary beauty of Albufera. Several hundred species of birds have found shelter here. Some of them are listed in the Red Book.

Other natural attractions are also worth visiting, such as the Galatzo Park, the Cabrera Nature Reserve, and the mysterious Del Drak Cave. A holiday in Mallorca cannot be complete without visiting the enchanting olive and almond groves. Reviews show that these natural attractions are of greatest interest to children. The picturesque Cape Formentor is also a must-see. The most beautiful pictures from your holiday in Mallorca can be taken here.

Winter holidays in Mallorca

Holidays in Mallorca from November to March are not very popular. Feedback from tourists shows that at this time there can be sufficient rainfall. At the same time, this particular period is characterized by the low cost of hotel accommodation and excursion bureau services. Of course, you won’t be able to soak up the warm sun on the beach. But it is worth considering that almost every hotel has its own pool with sea water, which is heated to a comfortable temperature.

In winter, daytime temperatures range from +10 to +15 degrees Celsius. At night the air can cool down to +7 degrees. In any case, it is better than the harsh Russian frosts. The air is quite comfortable for visiting interesting places and relaxing in street restaurants and cafes. It is worth noting that snow can be observed in mountainous areas. But he doesn't stay long. Even in winter, Mallorca enjoys pleasant sunny weather. The normal occurrence here is heavy rain followed by clear skies.

The beaches of Mallorca are not empty in winter either. Reviews show that tourists and locals prefer to spend time here even in cold weather. You can often find young couples cooing sweetly 5 meters from the shore. The beaches become very popular with fishermen in winter.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, hotel prices may increase slightly. Many people go on winter holidays at the end of December. Not only hotel rooms are popular, but also cozy family-type wooden houses. The rental cost can reach 1000 euros per day. Such houses are most often rented by large companies to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Let's sum it up

For those who want to soak up the warm rays of the sun and feel all the benefits of a beach holiday, it is better to go on vacation from May to September. But for lovers of interesting excursions, Mallorca in winter is more suitable. At this time, the cost of hotel accommodation will be several times lower. Reviews of Mallorca hotels are also worth studying in advance. This is especially important for tourists who plan to go on vacation with small children. The problem is that many hotels do not accept travelers with children under 5 years of age.

A holiday in Mallorca will give you many positive impressions if you think through all the nuances in advance. When leaving for a foreign country, you should definitely take out insurance from a trusted company. This procedure will require financial costs. At the same time, the tourist will feel completely safe.

THANK YOU so much for the very useful information in the article. Everything is presented very clearly. It feels like a lot of work has been done to analyze the operation of the eBay store

    • Thank you and other regular readers of my blog. Without you, I would not be motivated enough to dedicate much time to maintaining this site. My brain is structured this way: I like to dig deep, systematize scattered data, try things that no one has done before or looked at from this angle. It’s a pity that our compatriots have no time for shopping on eBay because of the crisis in Russia. They buy from Aliexpress from China, since goods there are much cheaper (often at the expense of quality). But online auctions eBay, Amazon, ETSY will easily give the Chinese a head start in the range of branded items, vintage items, handmade items and various ethnic goods.

What is valuable in your articles is your personal attitude and analysis of the topic. Don't give up this blog, I come here often. There should be a lot of us like that. Email me I recently received an email with an offer that they would teach me how to trade on Amazon and eBay. And I remembered your detailed articles about these trades. area I re-read everything again and concluded that the courses are a scam. I haven't bought anything on eBay yet. I am not from Russia, but from Kazakhstan (Almaty). But we also don’t need any extra expenses yet. I wish you good luck and stay safe in Asia.

  • It’s also nice that eBay’s attempts to Russify the interface for users from Russia and the CIS countries have begun to bear fruit. After all, the overwhelming majority of citizens of the countries of the former USSR do not have strong knowledge of foreign languages. No more than 5% of the population speak English. There are more among young people. Therefore, at least the interface is in Russian - this is a big help for online shopping on this trading platform. eBay did not follow the path of its Chinese counterpart Aliexpress, where a machine (very clumsy and incomprehensible, sometimes causing laughter) translation of product descriptions is performed. I hope that at a more advanced stage of development of artificial intelligence, high-quality machine translation from any language to any in a matter of seconds will become a reality. So far we have this (the profile of one of the sellers on eBay with a Russian interface, but an English description):
